Three Women Walk into a Salon and Leave Looking Like a Million Dollars

Three pretty women walked into a New York salon the other day and left looking like a million dollars. An episode of “Sex and the City”? Not quite. But I could see Carrie and girls there.

The transformation took place at Alma G. Salon in NYC’s Flatiron district. Ourr heroines are pretty close in profile to the sexy and talented gals from the show that defined what it means to be feminine, feisty and fashionable in the most glamorous city on the planet.

If you can makeover here like the one these three beauties received from Alma G and her talented team of stylists, well you can take it anywhere!

Here we go: Angie Bolivar,

a petite brunette law student currently interning with a law firm in New Jersey, a makeover that was pretty drastic in its scope with a result that was nothing less than cutting edge chic. Angie arrived at Alma’s salon early in the day to consult with the team about the direction she was open to going in.

Alma described her vision to Angie with her trademark confidence and passion for what she sees as the beauty in the raw that her talents can draw out of an individual. Angie at first seemed very hesitant to commit to this radical change because she justifiably was concerned about the conservative nature of her profession. Alma wanted to take Angie’s look to the extreme with an asymmetrical cut and a shock of vivid blue color. Angie’s hesitation was completely erased by Alma’s assurances that the result would highlight and help define her already gorgeous cheekbones and bring out her inner gamine.

Meet Meridith–

: Meridith

a lithe and lovely dance instructor from NY’s Upper West Side, Meridith was committed to keeping her hair long and was reluctant to lose more than a couple of inches of dry split ends. She too couldn’t resist the team’s charm. An voila, her brunette locks were changed into lustrous honey blonde and sunny highlights that brought out her gorgeous eye color and enhanced her rich skin tone.

A manicure with hand painted floral detail by the patient and methodical manicurist Maritza completed Merdith’s transformation from beachy frizz and chipped nails to well tended glamour goddess.

And for our youngest transformed lovely we have the sexy Tamy Cruz, a recent high school graduate with plans to attend college this fall to study Marine Biology. She walked into Alma’s salon defiant to keep her tresses long. She quickly also succumbed to the will and artistry of the woman who knows what is best for personal beauty statements and now sports a super sexy. Alma’s team is very tight knit that aspire to artistic beauty.

PR Between a Hard Rock and a Hotel

: From the Hard Rock Cafe in Hollywood, California

So the Divaonthego went to the Hard Rock Cafe in Hollywood, California today to learn all about the namesake hotels.

The PR firm was there as was Michael C. Shindler, exec. vp and Blake smith, global music and marketing mgr.

They did a slide presentation but basically told us little about the hotels (and no press kits were provided either), save that the group was expanding, economy willing, to Budapest and beyond. It’s actually in Bali and London and places you wouldn’t expect.

Blake mentioned some hush hush free music amenities will be added to the already in place perks guests get at the front desk during check-in. But he couldn’t divulge except to say if we went to the San Diego Hard Rock Hotel we might catch a hint or two.

Hmmmm, we did get swag, a very large black Hard Rock robe that would go around me three times and maybe more.

Hey I’m not complaining, just would have like a press kit and more info to report about on my LA Travel Diva Examiner page.
